Update #1 - 10 days ago

Campaign Update:

Phase 1, now underway, includes turfing the infield and bullpens, new fencing and dugouts, a warning track down both fence lines, and a press box. These exciting improvements were made possible through the generous support of the Croak family, whose leadership gift has turned vision into reality.

“This project is about more than facilities - it’s about opportunity,” said Bob Ronai, St. John’s Jesuit Athletic Director. “We’re investing in space that gives our players the tools to compete at the highest level while bringing our community together to celebrate Titan Baseball.”

Head baseball Coach Sam Fischer said, “Our players put in tremendous effort every day, and these upgrades reflect that commitment. Having a first-class facility will elevate their development and inspire pride in everyone who wears a Titan uniform.”

With phase 1 progressing, planning is already underway for phase 2 including a state-of-the-art indoor training facility featuring batting cages, pitching mounds, locker rooms, and coaches’ offices. This next step will give Titan Baseball a year-round home to train, compete, and build on its winning tradition.

Now, we invite our community, alumni, and friends to join us in taking Titan Baseball to the next level. Your support for the completion of phase 1 will allow us to launch phase 2 and help provide the facilities our student-athletes deserve; a space that reflects their passion, dedication, and pursuit of excellence.

History of Baseball @ SJJ

Started in 1967, Titan Baseball’s first City Championship took place in 1977, followed by championship also in 1981 and 1988. Distric titles were won in 2004, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023.

In 2012, 2021 and 2023, the Titans took home TRAC Champions plus the first ever regional tital and Final Four appearance in 2021.

Since 2020, seven players have gone on to play at the collegiate level. That number will soon nearly double with five of our 2025 players continuing their baseball careers in college next year.
