SJJ Academy IgKnight Fund
About
The 2004-2005 school year marked the opening of St. John’s Jesuit Academy, a forward-thinking vision of former St. John’s Jesuit president Fr. Don Vettese, SJ. For two decades, Catholic education in the Jesuit tradition has thrived at St. John’s in grades six, seven, and eight, meeting students where they are through the Gurian model of gender-based learning.
Under the creative leadership of founding principal Chris Knight ’78 and sustained, in part, by the dedication of Brenda Knight for how boys learn in a faith-based culture, we are proud to celebrate twenty years.
To honor the past and present, as we look to the future, the IgKnight SJJA Fund has been established to support experiential learning expenses and the individualized care that Chris and Brenda have inspired, and which has become the trademark of the Academy.
Dollars raised will be committed to meeting the basic necessities of Academy students who demonstrate need, to ensure each may fully experience a St. John’s Jesuit Academy education without financial worry. For it is through Catholic education that we truly pass on the light of Christ Jesus. To honor our 20th anniversary, our goal for this initiative is $20,000.
We ask for your support and generosity as St. John’s Jesuit Academy continues to pave the way in laying the foundation for educating boys who go on to be competent, compassionate, and Men for Others.
